The Department of Statistics of Veer Narmad South
Gujarat University was established in 1972 as joint
Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Later in
1987, the Mathematics section got separated as a
separate Department.
The Department is running M.Sc. degree
courses,M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes in
Statistics. The specializations offered are in the
area of Sampling Theory, Bio-Statistics and
Operations Research.
