Again the month of September proved to be hazardous for the people of
Surat. Recently, Surat had paid heavy prices in facing natural calamities, pestilence,
riots, plunder and arson. All such happenings have more often clanged Surat in the month
of September. There are events in the past which proves the fury of September. History
says that from 1849(according to last updating) almost in every decade floods has been
